I wanted to create a place I could see all of the work by artists that I love so, here's a selection of some of my favourite textile artists:

I was then in the mood to hunt for inspirational work and artists and i'm glad i was because i came across a students work that i completely love! She's combined layering of papers such as parcel paper and tracing paper with hand and machine embroidery over lay, print, illustrations and spray paint (e.g. doileys.)

Take on board ideas of layering all different techniques and experimenting with spray paint to create different textures, backgrounds and desings.
